⚡️ What are Boosts?

Boosts are there to give your listing more eyeballs for a bit. That’s it. You’re not buying your way into some permanent spot. While a Boost is active, your site just gets more visibility in the category it’s listed in, and in other places across the site too.

A Boost runs for 30 days. You can have more than one running at the same time if you want a stronger push and a bit more visibility while it’s live. Where your listing shows up still depends a lot on your Site Score. If another site has better engagement, more trust behind it, or people are simply clicking it more, it can still appear ahead of you even with fewer Boosts. That’s normal.

Boosts don’t just show in one place either. They can make your listing more visible across the site — on category pages, review pages, the homepage, and the leaderboard. When Boosts start or end, things update automatically, so what users see always reflects what’s active right now.

🏁  We’re running a promo and want to appear at the top - how do we do that?

To appear more prominently within a category, you’ll need more active Boosts than other sites at that moment. Visibility is fully competitive - higher Boost totals generally result in greater exposure. Hitting 500+ Boosts unlocks the Golden Crown, a standout golden visual that stays active as long as you keep at least 500 live Boosts.

👑  What is the Golden Crown?

Once your site crosses 500+ Boosts you unlock the Golden Crown. Your listing lights up with a gold background on the homepage, and your thumbnail gets a bold gold border on every page where your site appears. The Golden Crown is a visual feature only and does not affect how sites are reviewed or evaluated for quality.

🥇 Do Boosts guarantee the #1 spot?

Nope. Boosts don’t guarantee the #1 position. Visibility on MrPornGeek is fully competitive. More active Boosts result in greater visibility, but if another site adds more, their listing may appear more prominently until visibility levels change again. Boosts increase visibility and exposure, but no position is fixed or guaranteed.

💪 So can I stack different packs?

Absolutely. Every Boost purchase adds to your total. Buy a 50X pack today and a 100X pack tomorrow, and your score becomes 150X. Boosts can be added over time to maintain or increase visibility within competitive categories.

⏰ What happens when Boosts expire?

Each Boost pack lasts for 720 hours, which works out at 30 days. When your Boost ends the score drops back down and your site goes to its usual position again. That position is based on normal stuff like reviews, how popular the listing is, and how people tend to use the site day-to-day. A Boost mainly increases visibility, which often leads to more clicks and interaction on your review page. When real users do that, it can help your long-term Site Score because that score looks at genuine activity and how people interact with your listing. The Boost itself doesn’t permanently change anything, but the extra engagement you get during it can have an effect afterwards if people actually interact with your page. Things like reading your review, scrolling through the content, looking at other pages on our site, and then clicking through to your own site are all normal user actions we look at. We have plenty of internal metrics behind the scenes, but it mainly comes down to genuine activity from real users.

📉 Why is my listing lower down than before I boosted it?

When your Boost pack expires, your listing returns to its normal Site Score position. If you’ve only boosted once or twice and those packs have expired, that temporary visibility fades as newer Boosts take effect. Visibility is fully competitive, so if a site that was originally listed below you activates a new Boost, their increased visibility may result in your listing appearing less prominently in real time. To increase visibility again, you can activate another Boost pack.

🧮  What is my site score?

Site Score works similar to how Google once used PageRank. Our version, called Site Rank, considers multiple factors such as Domain Rating (DR), referring domains, site authority, and several other proprietary metrics. Together, these determine the overall Site Score that MrPornGeek assigns to every newly reviewed website. We don’t disclose Site Scores to anyone. Emailing us to ask for your score is a wasted effort - we won’t share it. Keeping these scores private prevents users from reverse engineering or manipulating the rankings.

🎯 How do boosts affect my visibility?

Your Boost total instantly increases your visibility across category listings and increases exposure throughout the site. Boosts don’t directly change your Site Score, but they do signal popularity. Users don’t typically email us saying, “Hey, what a fantastic site,” but fans show it by firing off a Boost — their way of saying your site’s cool and deserves more attention. Over time, that kind of genuine activity can help strengthen your overall Site Score.

🗂️ Why do different categories have different boost prices?

Most categories share the same Boost pricing. However, a small number of high-demand niches are priced slightly differently based on traffic levels and competitive demand, so exposure stays fair across the site. It works in a similar way to Google Ads and other CPC platforms. For example, a keyword like “premium content” can cost significantly more per click than “free content” because the commercial value of the visitor is very different.

🚀 Can any site be boosted?

Yes, almost all sites on MrPornGeek can be boosted. The only exception is listings in our Archived category, which holds over 1,000+ sites that are dead, offline, or flagged as sketchy. We keep those archived to protect users from visiting sites that may be malicious. If your site is incorrectly placed in the Archived category, mistakes do happen. Get in touch and we’ll review it. If it’s active and legit, we can move it back to the right category so it’s boostable again

💸 Are Boosts refundable?

Nope. Once you’ve fired them off, they run their course. Boosts may also be removed if a site is flagged for being malicious, misleading, redirecting traffic, or engaging in any other sketchy behaviour. If you experience an issue while activating a Boost and believe it’s a mistake, reach out to us via email and we’ll review it.
