Maybe I’m going crazy, but I’m sure at some point in the last few years, LiveJasmin decided to rebrand themselves as just ‘Jasmin’. Now there are so many categories on offer at LiveJasmin, and I think it’s fair to say that regardless of what you actually want to get out of a platform such as this, you’ll be satisfied. First thoughts

So when you hit the homepage here, you’re presented with a somewhat familiar sight when it comes to camgirl platforms: a convenient thumbnail list of various performers. What makes LiveJasmin quite different from the other places out there is that by default, the live sex cams are shown without a preview of the actual show, but in most cases, a professional snap from a photo shoot. For me? I’m not a big fan of this approach, and I don’t actually know if it’s possible to turn it off. I know that it’s not the biggest concern, but with photo editing, good lighting and whatever else – I think it’s better just to show me what the camgirl looks like right here and right now. LiveJasmin would certainly make me a lot happier if they went down this path, that’s for sure.

So along the left-hand side of the page, there are a few different categories that you can check out. What I find quite bizarre is that they have weird sub-niches and segments that are prominently displayed that don’t do much for the standard webcam fan. For instance, the four top ‘categories’ here include exclusive, girl, hot flirt and soul mate. I mean, what does ‘exclusive’ mean in this context? And soul mate/hot flirt are just useless concepts when it comes to live sex. Now below that, there is a trending tags area, but sadly: no teen option! In fact, to find the teen cams that LiveJasmin has to offer, I had to use the search bar. I know it’s not too difficult to do this, but it’s by far the most complicated approach to getting teen cams I’ve come across after reviewing quite a few different spots. Let’s hope they make it a lot easier in future.

Exploring teen cams

I think it’s fair to say that LiveJasmin has always tried to style itself as a place that you visit whenever you want a higher caliber of teen camgirl experience. That’s not to say that you won’t find amateurs and the like here – just that the girls are typically more professionally orientated and in the game for the long haul. From what I understand, LiveJasmin has a more difficult approach to recruiting and tend to try and ensure that they’re getting quality above quantity. I love the fact that LiveJasmin focuses on quality – simply because I ‘m someone that loves seeing camgirls in HD. My only beef with LiveJasmin is the fact that they have two quality options, SD and HD, with no dropdown or anything to show you exactly what those resolutions are. For instance, some camgirls could be streaming in 720p or 1080p, and I want to know which one is which! Low quality is also a vague term, so please – consider making it more obvious what’s going on in terms of objective media quality. LiveJasmin does have an incredibly interactive system in place though, and the number of tools, games, donation systems and whatever else they have available are simply out of this world. Spend a little time looking around the interface and you’ll see what I mean.

My biggest problem with LiveJasmin

I think it’s important to balance reviews correctly, and when it comes to LiveJasmin, my biggest issue is the simple fact that they keep on giving you prompts to create an account. You cannot sit here and watch cam shows forever, for free, without an account. There are plenty of competitive services that allow you to do this, but soon enough, LiveJasmin will say “Want more teen sex cam action? Sign up now!”.  I find it a bit annoying, but they are only asking for an email address, so I guess it’s not the end of the world.

Final thoughts

So I’ve spent a decent chunk of time looking at the live teens hosted here at LiveJasmin, and overall – I’m happy. I think that the margins at the top of the industry are pretty damn slim, and a lot of the biggest sites are very similar in structure and style. The fact of the matter is that LiveJasmin steps away a little from the mainstream and is a bit more glamorous and professional.
