What’s the deal here? Is the idea any good? How does Cam Soda’s interactive AI GF stack up against those offered by competitive services? Sadly, I’m going to have to get things off to a bad start here: it would appear as if Cam Soda did originally have an AI that you could chat with, but the interface is no longer working and it’s unable to be accessed. My guess is that a long time ago, CamSoda experimented with this technology and a novel way to drive traffic to their website – understandable, but as things currently stand, there’s nothing here for you to bother interacting with. The profile has a few images of the AI girl, but they actually appear to be a genuine person, and then nothing else. It’s a shame, since we’ve seen a lot of high quality AI chats around the place over the last year or so.

CamSoda has a history of trying new things – they were the first to do VR cams back in the day. My problem is that they tend not to stick through with their attempts at doing things first and generally half-ass whatever it is that they want to do. This ends up being a bit of a pain for everyone involved – first mover advantage in the AI space is real, but you actually have to have a competitive product if you want folks to take you seriously.

Since there’s nothing here right now – and Cam Soda rarely comes back to improve features – I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that you won’t find this technology coming back to the camming platform any time soon.
